Spring Vacation

Hi I am interested in a Spring Trip for me and my Mom we always have visited Myrtle Beach. And while family lives there and we enjoy it, I have a SSI check coming in April and we both just want to get away from it all but on a budget. Because a fight to Florida will probally be $500 we are hoping to find a nice place for under $1000. I have have heard the water is a lot calmer than Atlantic Ocean waters. I did want to take a cruse and enjoy some carrebean Islands beaches but I have decided Florida's Gulf Side would be better for the budget. I am not just asking about Pensacola but the whole Panhandle. I am possibley thinking of Clearwater to Sarasota area. Is thier any places where the water is the calmest, What is the best time for warm waters and calm waters. A One bedroom is fine but a 2 bedroom or 1 Bedroom with two queens or a pull down bed are ideal. I don't like sleeping on a pull out couch. What are the best areas in the Panhandle for peace and quiet.

You won't find more beautiful beaches than the Emerald Coast (Pensacola, Destin, Panama City Beach)

The sand, water, etc are much nicer than the Atlantic coast (unless you're a surfer in search of big waves)

You will surely be able to find quality accommodations on a budget.... check our panama city beach hotels, our destin hotels or you can compare hotel prices.

Clearwater and Sarasota also have nice beaches, but they are not in the Panhandle -- they're in Southwest Florida. And, I'm betting you'd find better deals here in Destin, Pensacola, Panama City, etc

When will you be traveling?

For peace and quiet on a budget, check out the west end of Panama City Beach.

Be sure and visit 30-A (seaside, grayton beach, rosemary beach, etc)... it's beautiful.]

And, make sure you check here with questions -- we have some great locals who give solid advice to travelers visiting our area.

P.S. Welcome to the forums!

I am now thinking about the first week of May as it might be warmer then and hopefully the spring break crown has left. Yes anywhere is fine as long as its has a nice beach and is fairly quiet as we need a relaxing vacation.
