Hi, I was wondering if anyone on here could tell me anything about my great uncle W.L.Thomas Marler (Uncle Billy Marler) I am wanting to know things like where he came from and his parents names and ect. I am at the age where i would like to know some of my family history like what countries I am from and ect. When my friends say I am from such and such country it bums me out because I would like to respond and say hey I am from this country. So any information you have for me would be great. Thanks

Well, the Marler family are certainly legends here in Destin, especially in the fishing industry. I would reccomend contacting the Destin Fishing Museum, ask for Jean. She is very familar with the history of Destin and I am sure would be happy to help you find further information. I will definatly try that thank you very much. Yes, I have heard of Olin, but I live quit a way away from Florida. My uncle has gone down to Destin and met Olin, but I have never been to Destin, So I am hoping to at least visit there one time or possibly move there when i get older. thank you for your help.
