Hello, my name is Jonathan Merzlak. I currently live and go to college in Virginia. This summer a friend of mine and myself have decided that we would like to move to Key West and work until next semester. I have been told that we would fit in perfectly in the keys. I have over 8 years bar/restaurant experience as well as many other skills. I am going to school for marine transportation and my merchant marine's license. Log on to our local paper keysnews.com for an idea on jobs and rentals. Rent is VERY expensive here so be ready to put a lot of money down. The good bartending gigs are usually filled "in house" but it is fairly easy to get a good server job. Many places will not hire you until you have a local number and/or address so do not get too dissapointed if you have no luck before you move here.
