For anyone in Key West looking for a great beach and park this is it. Fort Zachery Taylor has it all: great snorkeling, fabulous sunset views, a historic fort that's been there since the Civil War, and the best beaches in Key West. The good news is it's not nearly as crowded as other Key West beaches like Smathers (at least during Spring Break time). There's so much to see and do there that one day just won't do. If in Key West definitely make the trip out to this great site.

Fort Zac IS great but the difference is they charge to get in. Not much but it does keep most of the bums and kids on a budget out of the park.
