Since the day that Ernest Hemingway first set foot on Key West, the island has had an association with writers and literature, and for 22 years, Key West has been celebrating this heritage with the
Key West Literary Seminar. The theme for this year's seminar is
Crossing Borders: The Immigrant Voice in American Literature, which will explore the vast and ever-changing language of the immigrant writer. The seminar will take place on January 8-11, at the San Carlos Institute. All four days will be filled with panel discussions, talks, readings, exhibits, book signings, writers' workshops, glorious tropical weather and fabled Key West parties in America's best loved island paradise.
