Hemingway Day's Festival
It's that time of year when Key West dedicates a week's worth of celebration to one of its most famous residents, Ernest Hemingway for the Hemingway Day's Festival. The world renowned author was known for his love of adventure and travel, so it is only natural for the festival to emulate this with events like the Key West Marlin Tournament, Saltwater Fishing Clinic, and the Hemingway Look-Alike Contest at Sloppy Joe's. There's also a Writers Workshop & Conference, a Street Fair, Storytelling Competition, and a 'running of the bulls'- well, a sort of running of the bulls.
