Key West is very proud of their heritage and even holds a festival in honor of it. The Heritage Days Festival will take place February 11 - 13, 2005. The purpose of the festival is to show festival attendees what it was like to live and fight during the civil war. The festival is held at the Civil War Era monument, Fort Zachary Taylor. If you want a break from the festival, take a tour of the surrounding park, or just visit the beaches nearby.

There are four days left until the Paws For A Cause will take place! The event will take place on January 29, 2005 at the Seven Mile Bridge in Marathon Key. Beginning at 9 am, dogs and their owners will walk for a great cause. Proceeds from the Paws For A Cause will go to the Domestic Abuse Center of the Florida Keys. If you want to walk but don't have dog, the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals in Marathon will provide canine companions. Registration for the walk is $10 per person and includes a continental breakfast on Pigeon Key. Come out and enjoy a day the man's best friend contribute to a great cause while doing so!
