I've been a Buffet for fan for years, hell I must have heard Margaritaville a million times. Didn't know there was a convention of Buffet fans though. Sounds kind of fun. Anyone been?

Me too slomo! Not a giant fan but every bar I've been to has Margaritaville on the jukebox. So I guess I've heard it tons of times. It'd be cool to hear it in person though. Wonder if Buffet will play it?!;)

didn't find anything on their website about buffett playing, txangel. the margaritaville site shows his next tour date as november 5 in atlanta. maybe he will be in key west for the parrotthead convention.

The way I've heard it from locals is that Buffet doesn't really play announced concerts in Key West anymore. But he will randomly play a few tunes in the street (usually Duvall) if the right set of circumstances arise. A friend of mine saw of these impromtu shows last year and said it was wonderful. He played right outside of his Margaritaville Cafe, just him and a guitar. Maybe you'll get lucky and catch one of these performances.

Unfortunately we won't be in town for the MOM, but are planning on being in Key West in December. We will have a rental car, and was wanting to find out if there is a website anywhere that has a list of the old Haunts of Jimmy's. Capt. Tonys and a couple others are easy, but would love it if we could find a list of sites to see while there. I saw that they have the walking tour, but figured since we will have a few days it would be nice to do it on our own.
