Here comes another one...
Hurricane Rita is on her way to the Gulf, but not before pounding the Keys as she gains strength.
Storm surge flooding of 6 to 8 feet above normal tide levels is possible in the Keys. Heavy surf and up to 15 inches of rain. What are everyones' plans? I know they've ordered an evacuation for everyone west of 7 mile bridge... but is anyone planning on riding out the storm? |

Key West Live Cam
The live cam for A&B Lobster house live cam is still up and running as of 9:00am central time. Here is the link to A&B's live cam and a few other live cams in Key West (The only live cam on the live cam page that is active is A&B's).

Wow! The Live Cam is getting hammered... bouncing up and down. The boats are moving around pretty good, too. Hope they keep power through the storm.

I hear things have been a little slow getting power back on in the Keys... probably why the web cam isn't back up just yet (keep checking)/.
But it looks like the Keys dodged another bullet. Minor flooding and power issues. How many hurricanes have you guys ducked this year? Dennis, Katrina, Rita......... Last edited by swn5363; September-22nd,2005 at 03:35 PM. |
