I don't know how far this has gotten but tell me they're not going to pass it. I saw on the news that Florida might pass a sin tax making happy hour illegal and BANNING SMOKING in restaurants and bars! No way! This is just crazy what's next no drinking in bars?! No eating sweets in restaurants? This is crazy! If you live in Florida you've got to stop these people! Somebody tell me it was a nightmare...

I haven't heard about the no happy hour law, but I can tell you I hope it doesn't pass. Up here in Illinois we had a slap-happy state Attorney General, later Governor, named Edgar, who pushed through a no happy hour law... a lot of the love left the state then. But, we found a way around it... now we have "happy days" instead of happy hours! Sure, the bar owners aren't as happy with it, but boy we barflys are.

The no smoking in restaurants and bars is just to ridiculous to comment on.

In an effort to completely confuse everyone, there are two iniatives on the no-smoking going through. Both are constitutional amendments, one to ban smoking in bars, restaurants, etc., and the other to constitutionally protect your right to smoke! Now, if you folks in Florida pass that Amendment, I'll move down there!
