We just got back from Key West & as usual had a great time ~~ Since there maybe some travelers who travel by car to Key West out there in our forum - I thought I would post some pic's of the construction that has been goin-on for some time now & in the up-comin year ~~ There really is no problem with traffic or the construction ifin you are travelin to Key West or any place in the Florida Keys ~~ Lots of people have been takin Card Sound Road cause of the construction ~~ Since we go to Key West a lot durin the year ~~ I posted some pic's of how things are goin-on with the traffic & the construction ~~ You'll get a eye's view of what is happin & how US 1 will be in the future ~~ This construction is just before Key Largo for bout 15 miles or so ~~ Hope this info will help ya ifin you are travelin to the Florida Keys by car ~~

Thanks for the pics. It will be nice when it is completed. The purpose of the bridge is to do away with the Jewfish Creek drawbridge. That has been one of the most accident prone spots in the Keys.

We will be leaving from Orlando by car on Tuesday 5/29. The last 4 times we flew. It's going to be nice when it's completed. Bringing the dog this time so didn't want to fly. Thanks again

Thanks Lee ~~ We had another great time in Key West ~~ Too bad ya couldn't make it down ~~ Flat & Pam are good people & so were our other friends ~~ We had a BBQ over at Cayobo's house & all who attended kept us laughin & carryin-on like ...... ~~ I'm not sure I left any Crown Royal Reserve down there but ya never know ~~ Both days were nothin but meetin new people & re-acquaintin with our "old" friends plus takin-in some refreshments ~~ I think you will be an asset to this forum cause you are the weather man ~~ South Florida needs your forcastin for the Florida Keys ~~ Please contribute ~~ Your background is needed here ~~

I should have stated in my original post bout takin Card Sound Road & payin the toll ~~ You can still take it cause everyone needs to stop by & have a few beers & good sandwiches at Alabama Jacks ~~ The wiew is great plus the stop will help ya on the way down or back ~~
