I will be visiting Key West December 2-9, 2002. I have seen posted that there is a Holiday Parade on Dec 7. Any idea what time the parade takes place? I'd like to plan to see it, but have another engagement that day. Thanks for any info about the parade.::)

You couldn't have picked a better time to visit Key West! The Holiday Parade is indeed on the 7th, and starts at 7pm at Bayview Park and ends at Duval and Eaton around 9pm.

But the fun doesn't stop - or even start - there. When you get to the island the Pirates in Paradise festival will be well under way... I mean, this thing has events every day for weeks!

The weekend of the 6th they've got the Historic Seaport's Pirate Fest and Lazy Way's Village Thieves Market with living history pirate encampments, period arts & crafts, fight circles, and tons of kids stuff - theater, storytellers, and even a pirate's school!

For adults Pirate's Pub Stroll along the Historic Seaport and through Old Town, and throughout the weekend pirate's will be attacking ships in the harbor.
