You are so correct on the availibilty on rooms in Key West for Fantasty Fest!!!
Also when the event draws closer the rates go HIGHER, keep in mind that the far majority of places do require a min. night stay.
As for the size of the event ....last year was est. at 35-40k people, this year I believe will be larger!!
I think this way because of the past events we (Key West) have had this year were bigger than they were the year before!! i.e.
Spring Break, Hemmingway Days, Lobster Fest, and the most recent due is Labor Day and Poker run which the corridinators are saying huge #s!
So I will leave everyone with .... The weather here is Great hope that you can make it down!!

Thanks RED BULL! Others are saying the same thing, expecting higher numbers of Fantasy Fest-nicks, and visitors to Key West throughout the season. Tracy at Hog's Breath Saloon said that the number of visitors already appears up from last year...

Oh, and since I didn't include it in the beginning of this post, I ought to mention that Fantasy Fest is in October!

No sure if anyone is taking a look at this site......however me personally have had about a dozen people Instant Message me inquiring about ROOMS!!
I can not stress this enough...the island WILL BE SOLD OUT!!!
Fantasy Fest is an awesome time and I would hate it if someone had to stay many miles away from all the action(because they were procrastinators), and try to DRIVE back to the room and end up in the "Stock Island motor lodge" (jail) because they were D.U.I!!!!
Or even end up like a friend of mine trying to get a cab after 2am (bars close at 4am) with no luck what so ever!!!! He ended up paying someone $40 bucks to drive him 2.5 miles!!
I believe those people made some serious cash that night!

So anyways.....get your rooms now .....and DEAN.... can I "plug" some Ideal hotels near the action?

Stock Island Motor Lodge! That's funny stuff... as you're finding out there are a lot of people looking at this site Red Bull. And they're looking for advice on where to stay, etc., so go ahead and mention any hotels you know are good.

Now if you are looking for a DEAL with lots of space and across the street for the ONLY beach in Key West....I sugguest
THE SHERATON SUITES !!!! these SUITES are huge!!
and much cheaper than the ones listed above!

As for Bed n Breakfasts ....there are a ton of them in town !!!
I would suggest checking out the "ACCOMIDATIONS" link here on this site and finding one that is in the Location you want to stay!


All the action will be from FRONT ST./ Duval St all the way down to PETRONIA ST/ Duval St

Poker Run is a civilized "Bike" weekend Sept 20-22 !!

There are 5 stops in the Keys on US 1 on the way down where you aquire a "playing card" at the 5th stop is where the "Poker Hand" is recorded!

This event as well as many events in Key West is for Charity!!

So come on down and check out all the Bikes! thousands and thousands of dollars are brought down to show off and have a great time!!!

And by the way.....the FAR MAJORITY of these "BIKERS" are profesionals (i.e. Doctors, Lawyers, CEOS, etc.) not "HELLS ANGELS!

HI Fantasy Fest seekers...

Made reservations back in Feb. at Lightborn Inn (www.Lightborn.com) for Fantasy Fest, Oct 23 to Oct 28th. Now moving to the Florida Keys and will not need them. Just need someone to take over the reservation. No money to me. I will work with the B&B for a refund. As long as someone can take my reservation, my deposit will be refunded.
