Thumbs up Key West Trip report

Wow, well what can I say. Key West is FANTASTIC!

I wanted to share mr trip report with everyone and thank everyone for all the helpful comments and tips I have read on the boards in the past months.

Firstly the trip down was great. Beautiful scenery and very friendly people at every stop.

We stayed at the Casa Marina and while the rooms needed some updating the property itself was great. The beach and pools were amazing! The staff were so helpful and attantive.

Food, food, food....phew....lot's of good eats. Some of our favorites, Michaels for Fondue, Blue Heaven breakfast, Lobster at the Conch Republic Seafood Company, Happy hour at the Conch Republic too as well as the Half Shell Raw Bar, Cafe Med - great service and wonderful food.

Drinking...we tried to go to a lot of locals favorites. Half Shell, Lazy Gecko (Yes I danced on the bar), Green Parrot, Louies back deck, we even found the Chart Room thanks to the Scavenger hunt.

Activities! By far the best thing we did in Key West was the Southernmost Scavenger hunt. We had heard about it from some friends and took part in the Best of the Bars version. We had way too much fun. We found bars that we would never had found on our own and met the best people. Everyone is so friendly. We didn't win but it really didn't matter. Other favorites include the Ghost Tour, our guide was so spooky and so much fun, the Jungle tour on the mini speed boats, Jet Skiing at the Casa marina - the guy who runs the store was so helpful.

Shopping. Fast Buck Freddies was great. Lot's of really eclectic stuff...check it out. there is even a half buck freddies down the street selling cheaper stuff! A bargain find.

Thanks again Key west, we hope to be back again soon. Let us know if you'd like any other info or we can help with anythiing else
