If you're looking for something different to do for lunch, drive to mile marker 28 and take the complimentary 'water taxi" out to Little Palm Island for lunch. You need to make reservations before you go, and they will give you details on the departure times for the little motor yacht. It's a fun ride in a great boat... the restaurant is great, too! You can eat in the dining room or on a terrace perched above the beach. Lovely service. Wonderful food. Very fun!
