Duval B&B recommendation
I love to be in the center of action on Duval. I stayed in different places, (Blue Parrot Inn, Wicker's House and Duval House) but this time I want something in 100- 400 Duval St. Does anyone have a link to a website that shows B&B on a Key West map?
It is not easy to check each address on the Mapquest webiste, it just take a lot of time. I found Old Custom House Inn at 124 Duval. I've never stayed there. Any comments on this place or other recommendations? Thanks in advance. |

On Duval
I think that Avalon House is probably the best on Duval. It is owned and operated by the same guy who owns Pisces, Duffy's and Abbondanza... if he's as much of a perfectionist about his B&B as he is about his restaurants, it's got to be perfect. I have NOT stayed there, but it is really beautiful from the street... it is on the 'quiet end' of Duval... near the new Butterfly Pavillion. It's pretty.
Hope this helps. |

Thanks Toni,
I checked their website and photos and I have to admit it is very nice however location is not what I need unfortunately. Recently I stayed in Duval House which me and my wife liked very much because of its atmosphere and beautiful garden. We would like to move a little closer to Sloppy Joe area this time. |

Closer to Sloppy's
I am not aware of a really nice one down that far... although the Ocean Key House and Pier House hotels are on Duval and on the water, and they are very nice and not tooooooooooo big.
The Artist House is just off Duval - in the area. It's lovely. The Banyon House Time Share is on Whitehead near Sloppy's... I'll nose around and see if I can get a recommendation from anyone ... if I do, I'll shoot it to ya. |

They are not on that area of Duval but very close. There really are not any in those blocks that are worth while besides some of the large hotels. Here is a good site that shows the layout of Duval and whats on it. http://www.seefloridaonline.com/duval/
