I'm taking a trip to Florida with my mother on May 7..we went to daytona last year and had a great time but want to see the Keys this year. Just wondering if there are reasonable priced hotels that are on the beach and is it a beach like Daytona?

The beaches in the Keys and not like elsewhere in Florida. They are usually small, rocky and man-made. With that being said, the better beaches are in the upper Keys IMHO. You really need to decide which Key or Keys you are intrested in. They are all very different from each other. Pull up floridakeys.com or keywest.com for some ideas.
