Yes we are crazy.
Gotta some questions, did the owners of Teasers buy the RUMRUNNERS COMPLEX?
If so are the bulldozing the restrooms? (which are voted the worst in Key West every year)lol
Are they making it a Strip club / Jazz Club?

second question, is the old "tiki beach" back to a restuarant?
I thought the owners of the Bull owned it and remodled!

third, is AQUA, CRABBY ****S, and the all famous ............DARN I CANT REMEMBER THE NAME..........(old copa)......... still around?

This is the most I know to the best of my knowledge, The owners of Teasers took over the management of the Rumrinners Complex. I do not know of any changes planned except they will probably change the strip clubs name from "The Upstaires" to "Teasers 2". I am not sure what you are refering to about the Tiki Hut. Give me some more info and let me see what I find out.
Aqua is still open but barely making it. It always seems empty.
Crabby ****s is still doing O.K. but still not good. Its only the tourist that are making that place survive. Epoch was closed a while ago. Lots of problems with drugs and underage kids. I hope this helps.

As far as the TIKI BEACH it is the place on telegraph lane, with an entrance across from the RED GARTERS 2ndary entrance.

So is the RUMRUNNERS complex still open, operating as usual?

Thats sad to say about AQUA, the girls that own it are so nice!

Can I ask one more question.....how about the NEW PLACE on Caroline St across from PTs?
Isnt it suppose to be a "Montys"?

My understanding is that Monty's will be opening for the NEXT Stone Crab season... won't make it this year... but, that's not written in stone (pun pun).

Mark Rossi, formerly Rumrunners GM, is opening a new place on the Atlantic at the end of Simonton... he's calling in the "Sands" I think... and the buzz is... the crowd is not mixed. Strange. I wish someone would have though to call it "Peeping Tom's" and provide binoculars so we could keep an eye on our friends next door at the Shores! (heh heh heh)

Red Bull, you need to just come back down here and visit and catch up with all the gossip!

I still can't figure out the tiki place. Rumrunners is still "business as usual" but everyone is expecting changes. Monty's, last I heard, is trying to back out of their lease. The Orlando operation is not doing as well as it was expected to so they are unsure of the Key West location. Rossi's place had a grand opening last week. I have been hearing mixed reviews on it.

A little correction for TONI.....Mark Rossi was never the "GM"of Rumrunners or even a part of that place.
He is the OWNER of RICKS/DURTY HARRYS.
As far as coming down...we will be there the end of april!!!

Pedaled by the Sands yesterday, and it looks great. He built a "beach" down on the water and gossip is that he plans on putting in an 80' pool!

No need for an oopps!
The owners of Rumrunners were a group of gents that had a few people over the past few years trying to run the complex whom never lived here full time.
Now from what I hear is that the guys from Teasers either bought the place or are going to manage it....not sure which one.

We will be down next week to say hello, hang with old friends and drink the night away!

Sands is really nice, and has some good plans in the works. Look for www.sandsbeachclub.com and on www.rickskeywest.com for now. Updaed news section will keep you informed. Things been a little quieter since Spring Break, Crabby Bills was fun with the foam parties, Crabby ****s is still kicking around, will see what happens ....
