We are coming to Key West for the Conch Festival & have booked a room at the Blue Marlin. Anyone have any info on this place? It looks like a 50's era motel from what I've seen online. Has it been recently updated? Any info would be helpful. If it's too weird, we might stay elsewhere.

We have a several KW locals who post in the KW forums form time to time.... hopefully one of them wil know the answer...

We haven't stayed there but I've read some reviews from people who stayed there this year & most said the rooms are clean, spacious, free parking, staff was great, etc. The price is right & you'll be on the quiet end of Duval, one block away but a little walk to Mallory Square & Sounthern Most Marker bout two blocks away for example. There was one real bad review compared to 10 good ones.

Thanks! From what you've said, it's sounds good. We're going to be driving our '62 MG in the parade down there & after driving for 3 days to get there, a clean, comfortable room will be a welcome sight! It's been 20 years since we've been to Key West!
