First of all, I love Tripsmarter.com. I love being able to see what is happening at my favorite vacation spots (Destin, PCB, Key West) before going. I have just invested in a digital TV and, living in the Atlanta area, have been able to pick up the Atlanta Channel. Being digital, it is perfectly clear and watchable. While watching over the weekend I had a thought: Have you considered multicasting on your Atlanta channel some of the other feeds like Destin, Key West, NOLA, and Myrtle Beach? Atlanta is a huge travel market and it might help in selling time on the other stations by pointing to the Atlanta market as another broadcast point. It would also cut down on your server bandwidth from this part of the country.

It was just a thought.

Thanks for the kind words Alan! And you may be on to something. I'll fwd your post to someone who might have a more qualified response than mine. But I do know the digital broadcast world is much more regulated than the Internet...

I do know there are a couple of religious broadcasters that are multicasting in the Atlanta market (one is WPXA, ch 14. The other is a small station out of Decatur). It may not be that expensive to throw up the additional subchannels once you have the primary one going. And keep in mind that the folks with the digital receivers are the ones with the disposable incomes!
