Superman Returns was great

getting-know-you-d-e1.jpg

Superman was great, Louis and Lex's girlfreind were bland but Brandon Routh did a great job filling Christopher Reeves boots. The special effects brought so much more to the table. There is signifigantly more drama, but it's a must-see.

Superman IV? (I disregard that movie as I haven't seen it. I think I was referring to 1-3 plus the new one).

I agree with SuperMav about the new Superman. I think it was as good as it could possibly be. I'm sure I could be more critical of it if I saw it a couple more times, but I was so busy being thoroughly entertained that any small issues got overlooked by me.

I can't imagine anyone else filling in for Reeve after seeing the movie. The resemblance was unreal (not so much looks, but mannerisms and voice).

Some people claimed that you really miss Hackman as Luther (which I can understand, he was great in the 80's) but I think Spacey did a fantastic job and I never even thought about Hackman during the movie.

I liked Lois and thought Kate was good. Parker Posey was pretty good, too.

I think everyone involved in the Superman franchise can be proud of Superman Returns.

Superman IV was good. My son and I saw it. It was the one where Superman took on Nuclear Man. A very good movie! I think my son was in elementary school when we saw it.

Okay, I remember it now. Lex Luther stole a strand of Superman's hair from a museum and used it to make a bad supervillian. It's been a while and I don't remember how good it was...

I think it has been 17 years since we saw that. I think my son was 7. Sure don't remember much about it but the part where Superman and Nuclear man were flying through the sky battling each other and superman ended up throwing nuclear down into a reactor and closing the lid which destroyed him.

Thanks for the and reviews of SR -- we haven't seen it yet, but will soon. I've heard nothing but praise on it, and Kevin Spacey has an ability to become any role he plays, so I couldn't imagine a better recast of Lex Luthor. (Could you imagine Christopher Walken in that role though? That would be freaky...)

This link takes you to a video of Kevin Spacey impersonating Christopher Walken. Christopher Walken would have been great but way different from the Lex we all know (and love to hate.)

Kevin Spacey does some of the best impressions I've ever seen... Although I will say that Kevin Pollack's Walken is the best for my money in terms of funny......

Does anyone know why these pics I put disappear? The picture of the Haunting was here and now there is nothing but a square with a red x. Was anyone else able to see the picture I had there or get the picture to show??? This is really frustrating!

That is because I deleted it. Don't care for a red X being inside a square with no picture. I have attempted 3 times now to upload it and now it will not upload. And that makes me not happy. Will have to wait and try it from home!
