Come on men join.

i just got some entel that we will be going around with the army regs on a tour around the country tying to get people to join the army. they said if they had some DELTA go along with them it might persuade people to sign up. hell if anyone lives in the new york area and wants to join say so we will be in new york i think the 1st on to the 4th of August. hell in a few years if you join you might be able to try out for 1st detachment DELTA Force, and what is more exiting than being the best of the best and the most elite fighting force in the world. so again if you live in new york city look around at city hall info should be there.

p.s(D- boys are nothing like army regs, we keep our hair like anyone else not high and tight. we do what ever the **** we want, we have all the fun.)

If you live that long that is. Not too happy with all the lives lost in Iraq. All these young men killed, senseless loss of life.

You know its their choice to join the military, its not vietnam they were not drafted. they know the risk they are taking when they go over there. they want to protect their contry, nobody forced them to join, so if they die it was their choice to.

Well aware of that being their choice! The offer of $40,000 and a college education sometimes gets in their way of being sensible, but I am sure they have to serve 4 years before that comes about, if they live! But I know from experience that the high school halls are filled up with military personnel trying to corner boys, like my son, for instance. He was repeatedly approached. I just think Bush went overboard with this stuff. And he has yet to find Bin Laden. Any given day another group of terrorists can come over here and totally destroy more areas of the U.S., like they did the World Trade Center! They already are over here. Probably right where you live even. You been in Iraq at all??? You are sitting right now in PC Beach. Don't know anything about this Mogadishu you were in, or say you were in, as to war going on over there.

Mrs i have been to war i have seen the horrors i have served in two wars and 3 battles i was in The mog which i cant believe you never heard of it, the battle of mogadishu in '93 made famous by the book and movie black hawk down. i was in desert storm in the gulf war in '91 and i served three tours of service in this war so dont ever say i have never been in combat or dont know what they go through, i know what these men are going through, and if your son didnt want to join the army nobody made him. yeah maybe they pushed on him a little, but if he gave in because of that your son is a very weak person.

I do not believe anywhere in my posts that I stated that you weren't in any wars. I read back over them. I haven't heard of Mogadishu. I have heard of Black Hawk Down but don't watch movies like that. My father was in World War II and was on the island of Borneo. Was in the Air Force. I don't want to be enemies with anyone on here so lets just call it a truce ok? I don't understand why you guys want to put yourselves through those risks??? To me it wouldn't be worth it!

i agree you have your views and i mine so we will just have to live with that, the reason we put ourselfs through it i guess because if there is a reason good enough woth fighting for, and if its not a good cause to some it may be a good cause to the man fighting. and if tha reason, that cause is good why not fight for that cause. like your father in WWII he was fighting for a very good cause, if it wasnt for men lke your father we may be speaking german and under a nazis rule, i respect people like your father.
nore do i want any enemies so a truce it will be.

I gave Special Forces some serious thought, but I saw it allot like the NFL minus the pay. You sacrifice the your back and knees for the rest of your life, starve yourself, self induce sleep deprivation, age rapidly, sacrifice the chance of any successful relationship, and drift further and further away from relation to the rest of the world we all know and love. I love you guys for doing it, but it’s not for me
I'm a patriot and I'm proud as hell of the Delta boys and even the “Black Water Security” mercs, but as for me... this homegrown land-lover is content having your back from the sidelines.

Beachnut......you say" I just think Bush went overboard with this stuff. And he has yet to find Bin Laden." Bet you didn't realize that in 1996, Sudan offered to round up Osama bin Laden and extradite him to the U.S but Clinton say no. In 2002 he (Clinton) admitted to this and says that he turned down the offer because "he (bin Laden) had committed no crime against America so I did not bring him here because we had no basis on which to hold him, though we knew he wanted to commit crimes against America." That just makes me so

No, I wasn't aware of the deal with Clinton and Sudan and extraditing Bin Laden. I am sure that did not earn him any brownie points. I do not care for him. And this went on after September 11, 2001. I am surprised at that as there are not many countries on our side other than England and Australia and probably Israel. Don't know of many!

don't be afraid

look if your really in the Army I'm sure they'll pick you one day for a really important job. Now by D-boys did you mean Delta company... cause your buddies don't fit the typical Delta profile... you know secretive with no rank, or name tags... I mean I am certainly not delta, but if I were I wouldn't tell anyone about it.

of course

you can tell people about it but not much and the info i gave, like the name thorne griffith, and where i live. well i do live in pcb but thats not my name. and about me having an assignment, i cannot confirm nor deny if i do or not. the only people who know who i really am is my parents and my fellow delta. none of my cizilian friends even know my real name. or what i do, you know what, i dont even know why i told you people well its to late just hope i dont have any terrorist or some **** heads out there. but my cizilian friends think i have some desk job, but i dont see how they actually think that when they see me with ripped abs and arms, and i have a tan, but yet my hair is average length, atleast its normal hair. well i dont know yall but i guess i have no choice but to trust you. and my friends in that pic its ok to display rank and name because the only people who will see it is You team mates and the enemy, and the boys and i plan on killing them so it all ends up good. (oh and what do you do for a living anyways.)

Speaking of clinton, i know how general garrison (the commanding general of the raid) took full responsiblity of the battle but i think it was Clintons fault of the outcome, on that day the general requisted tanks and an asortment of vehicles and clinton said no. and me and the rest of delta lost some good men out there that day, so did the rangers. the outcome of the battle would have been very different it we had armor outthere that day. and everyone loved clinton and they still love the clintons i hate clinton. and i will forever hold him accountable.

to get it strait the college ed comes about a year after your in. and four years if you were confused, is the least amount of time you can be in. it goes 4yrs then you can renew your contract.

Thanks for clarifying that spinakers 123. I dislike Clinton also, but for many reasons.
