I love music, it soothes my soul... it eases my roadrage, helps me meditate and think, tackles insomnia, and blocks out annoyances....
So my natural question... what's on your iPod/mp3 player? Share your favorites, especially the obscure ones. I love to connect with people through music. Here's my Top 25 iPod playlist (this week!): I'll Be (acoustic, but I have both on my iPod), Edwin McCain Babylon, David Gray Sexy Back, Justin Timberlake You Can Leave Your Hat On, Joe Cocker One Thing, Finger Eleven The Man Who Sold The World (Nirvana's version, but both on my iPod) How to Save a Life, The Fray Crash Into Me, Dave Matthews Band Whiskey in the Jar, Metallica Mad World, Gary Jules Landslide, Dixie Chicks Dixie Chicken, Little Feat Hate Me, Blue October Say Goodbye, Dave Matthews Band Soul Meets Body, Deathcab for Cutie La Vie En Rose, Cindy Lauper Name, Goo Goo Dolls An unamed song from the BVS soundtrack, Allison Krauss and Union Station Wild Horses, The Sundays Hanging by a Moment (acoustic), Lifehouse American Baby, Dave Matthews Band Not Ready to Make Nice, Dixie Chicks Hemmorage, Fuel The Riddle, Five for Fighting Everyone's Gone to War, Nerina Pallot Last edited by trishben; August-9th,2006 at 09:44 PM. |

blashemy Shinedown did a great job, but Skynard is the OG. J/KDavid Druman was from the Queen of the Damned sound track, I don't think he went out without his band (Disturbed) a whole lot. |

Supermav, a couple of quick thoughts... I just got home after an 8 hr road trip w/ my iPod and had time to think about my music...
Thanks for the lead on Druman, I'll look for it tonight.... I love LS, but for me Shinedown's stripped-down accoustic reinterpretation is raw and powerful, and shows the beauty of the song, giving LS full artistic credit. :) I was a major grunge baby and LOVE all things grunge... and yet, have you heard Tori Amos' "Smells like Teen Spirit"??? WOW... I think that illustrates this... in this case it's apples and oranges, but the reinterpretation brings out a completely different tone. I see you guys covered the upcoming concert already, if you go have a beer for me (I want to GO!!!!!) |
