Coulter isn't worried about being politically correct. (Neither am I). I live in and do business in red-states only when given the choice. I even tend to only vacation in red states! I like my freedoms and don't like high state taxes.

Coulter is very successful ... so it seems her ideas resonate with her core audience. What many don't understand is that there is a fair deal of satire involved. Not unlike saying "Bill Gates has a gazzillion dollars" ... a statement that is over the top but proves the point.

Per the interview, Coulter was pissed that she was given the wrong phone number, Carolla took advantage of her bad mood to prove his point. Given that Carolla's audience probably isn't full of Coulter fans to begin with, it was a win-win for both of them. Carolla came off as the hero with the power of the mic, and Coulter got to act like she doesn't care and didn't need him.

And they both have us talking about is ... so mission accomplished. PR is all all about the buzz!

Did she really not know that her comment was ging to fire up the pistons of everyone who has a heart... her first comment sums it up: I hope everyone reads the book.

She knows there is no such thing as bad publicity... So does Eminem their motto = piss off as many people and gain as much attention as possible
