My beloved boss is on a much needed vacation to Maui, and sent me this picture of Molokai in the distance from the beach...



I was lucky enough to go to Hawaii myself many years ago, and stood on the shores of Kaanapali and took an almost identical picture. Getting this picture on my cell phone in the middle of a terrible day instantly transported me back to one of the most beautiful places I've ever been.

So my question to you guys-- where are some of the more exotic or unusual (undiscussed here) places you've gone or loved? And where do you locals who have year long access to the beach go on vacation?
