 © AP Steve Irwin 'Crocodile Hunter' Steve Irwin Dies at 44 Sep 4, 12:41 AM EST  So sad! I cannot believe this! Dying from a stingray barb that pierced through his chest into his heart! I would have expected him to die from a snake bite or a crocodile but not the way he did. I am just in such shock and cannot do anything but think about his wife Terri and their children Bindy and Bob, both have been told of their father's death! I just cannot imagine what they are feeling! He was such an awesome guy! He will be missed!

I don't think it will be that bad until he just stops moving. He actually pulled the barb out of his chest. Or so the report that I heard yesterday stated.
