MANCHESTER, N.H. --Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich used a New Hampshire event dedicated to freedom of speech to say the United States will have to re-examine that constitutional right as it fights terrorism.
Speaking in Manchester last night, Gingrich said the country may need a different set of rules to reduce terrorists' ability to use the Internet and free speech to recruit and get out their message.

There is no question about the facts of this video. Newt
did say in NH that
freedom of speech should be limited. I refer you once again to Benjamin Frankin's most important, most relevant statement in reference to today's situation in the United States...
"They that can give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserves neither liberty nor safety!!!"
It's funny how we always like to say that we are the most free country in the world and then
our government which is supposed to answer to us, the American poeple tries constantly limit our freedoms more and more all for our own
good.
We are becoming more and more like the countries that we love to call tyrranical or authoritarian! The justification too often used is the
safety of our citizens. This is false. These are simply more ways for the government to intrude into our lives. True conservatives which pretty much are non-existent in this day and age stood for smaller government and less intrusion in our daily lives. More and more we are feeling the pressure from the gov't to roll over and just take the abuse of power. REMEMBER:
These guys work for us! Not the other way around. We must stop this good ol' boys club in Washington. Damn it people, you need to start giving a damn about these issues. Sure your life is important, but remember that the future of out children, and our children's children is much much more important.
Enlighten the people, generally, and tyranny and oppressions of body and mind will vanish like spirits at the dawn of day.
Thomas Jefferson
The spirit of resistance to government is so valuable on certain occasions, that I wish it always to be kept alive.
