Two families are coming to visit this summer.
We want to stay in a LESS POPULATED/LESS COMMERCIALIZED area somewhere around Myrtle Beach, but yet not too far from fun. What do you recommend as a nice, yet not too expensive area? |

the Garden City area sounds like it'd be just what you're looking for. It's a few miles south of Myrtle Beach, laid back -- beach houses for rent and a more laid back style. My wife's family comes every year, and they like to stay in Garden City.
the Cherry Grove section of North Myrtle Beach is similar. Hope this helps. |
