Icon12 Where do I begin????

My family and I will be traveling to Myrtle Beach for the first time the second week of May. I am looking for some fun and economical things for my children( as well as myself) to do. Can anyone help me? Thanks a bunch!

There are tons of things to do. I could go on for days.

The most economical thing to do is go to the beach. The weather should be awesome then. Then you have the water parks and amusement parks.

What kind of things are you looking for yourself?

Cool Thanks!

Personally, I want to see as much of everything that I possibly can (I know that is not going to happen). I read about a place called Barefoot Island? There are suppossed to be alot of things rolled into one place. Have you ever heard of it?

I think you're referring to Barefoot Landing... and yes, there's tons of stuff there to keep you entertained. We have more info on Barefoot and other attractions in our Myrtle Beach Attractions Section. You can watch videos of the attractions, read reviews, visit their website, print a map, etc.

Also, you may want to try Broadway at the Beach... another huge entertainment complex.

Good luck!

Oh yeah - now that I think about it, something else you may want to check out is our Myrtle Beach Theater and Shows section... lots more fun stuff to do. And if you've never been to a Medieval Times Dinner Tournament, I suggest you consider it. It's a great time and very well put together production. Dinner's good, too!

Here is an idea for a fun night out, You can take the kids to The Coastal Field and watch the Myrtle Beach Pelican's baseball team. I believe they are a Class A ballclub. Its a great new facility and general admission tickets are very reasonable. The hotdogs and popcorn are good too! Theres alot going on during the game to entertain you and they have "give aways" too. We were there last week and everyone at the stadium got a Free Roast Beef Sandwich at Arby's. They have a Labrador Retriever that runs the bases and delivers the baseballs to the umpires.
There are lots of miniature golf courses for the kids and yourself, and over at The Nascar Cafe you can get an all day pass so the kids can ride the gocarts all day for one fee. You can come and go all day long!
I hope you have a great trip! Val Dell
