I've heard various stories about what will be there (shopping ctrs, restaurants, that type of stuff). There won't be an amusement park there -- I'm sure of that, but unsure of what will be there.

There are still plenty of fun things !!

Even though the Pavilion celebrated its last day in September 2006, and although the Freaky Tiki has closed, there are still plenty more activities and things to do in the Grand Strand ..

The final plans for the spot where the Pavilion sat has still not been fully determined .. keep in mind that Hard Rock Cafe is buildinga LARGE theme park that is supposed to be completed in the area by 2008 or 2009 ..

Also, Club Kryptonite near Broadway at the Beach and the Spanish Galleon in North Myrtle always have some fun things going on .. also, a number of other clubs cater to the exact same crowds that the Freaky Tiki did ..

I live here at the beach and there are always things to do ...

Respectfully,
Shane Arnold

I agree Shane - there is always something to do in Myrtle Beach. I make the 16+ hour drive from Michigan a few times a year just to see what has changed in the area.

I am really looking forward to that Hard Rock Theme Park, I heard about that awhile ago. I am sure it will be a pricey theme park, being as though it does have the Hard Rock branding - but I am sure that will be a great time.

With more and more being added to Myrtle Beach, I still think it would be worth the drive - there's tons of restaurants, night clubs and more! Never a dull moment in Myrtle Beach!
