Good news - another stretch of the Robert M. Grissom Parkway has opened. The new section is between 38th and 48th avenues North, completing the parkway south from 48th Avenue North.
The Parkway is planned to run five miles - Harrelson Boulevard near Myrtle Beach International Airport to the Carolina Bays Parkway. The Parkway is planned and designed as an alternative to Kings Highway and Hwy 17 Bypass. Stop signs and lights are few, making this a quick route. Another section is scheduled to be completed by July 19. |

Did they finish that section that was supposed to be done last month? What about the whole hiwy, it going to be done soon? This is just what Myrtle needs more quick routes through town!

The state is reporting that all work is completed on the Grissom Parkway! It seems that Myrtle Beach is taking seriously the need to increase the through or express roads in town, and they're making progress. Good news for locals and visitors!
