Luxurious Accommodations And A Variety Of Golf Package Options Are Designed To Please Even The Most Discriminating Golfer

Pawleys Plantation in Pawleys Island, S.C., one of the best places to stay in Myrtle Beach according to Travel & Leisure Golf magazine, is offering golfers a variety of golf packages in 2007. With the introduction of its newest package, “Designers Challenge,” Pawleys Plantation enables golfers to play three courses designed by some of the most famous names in golf – Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player, and Pete and P.B. Dye.

The three-night “Designers Challenge” package is available through 2007 (rates vary from $274 to $469 per person, according to the season) based on quad occupancy. It includes accommodations in a spacious Pawleys Plantation villa, a daily plantation buffet breakfast, and three rounds of golf on Pawleys Plantation’s classic Lowcountry Jack Nicklaus-designed layout; Gary Player’s only Grand Strand signature course, Blackmoor; and Pete and P.B. Dye’s links-style, Prestwick.

“Designers Challenge” is the latest in a number of popular packages to be offered at Pawleys Plantation. The “Stars of the South” package provides golfers who stay at Pawleys Plantation with an opportunity to play its Jack Nicklaus signature course, as well as a sampling of courses that are rated four stars or higher in Golf Digest’s 7th Edition (2006), Best Places to Play guide. The three-night package is available through 2007 (rates vary from $359 to $619 per person, according to the season) based on quad occupancy. It includes accommodations in a spacious Pawleys Plantation villa, a daily plantation buffet breakfast, and a round of golf on Pawleys Plantation’s Jack Nicklaus-designed layout, and one round each on True Blue Plantation and Caledonia Golf & Fish Club. A $20 gift certificate for merchandise offered in Pawleys Plantation’s pro shop is also included in the package.
