Cool Lands End

Has anyone stayed at the Lands End and if so how was your stay? We are bringing our family down in June ages from 2 to 22.

Me and about 5 or 6 of my friends are renting a house in North Myrtle Beach off Hillside Drive South for spring break 3/12/05- 3/19/05. The company that we are renting from is called Myrtle Beach Tours(google it) and they usually only rent to students so they price the houses per person. The street that our house is on is where everyone else is staying..Ocean Boulevard is oceanfront, our house is 2nd row. There should be crazy parties just on those streets alone but there is tons of stuff to do if you drive up route 17.

re:

LOL, I'm glad I saw this post...I was getting ready to write something about Land's End! That is where we stayed for about 10 years straight (a week or two every summer). That place is great. I really liked it. It's at the end of the hotel-strand, so the beach is not too crowded. Normally it's pretty tame, no problems with loud neighbors and such. Seems like most if not all the rooms have a good view of the beach/ocean. I really like that place. I'd definitely recommend it. If you have any specific questions, post here and I'll see if I can help you out with them.

Doug

Edited to Add: I went there from ages 13 - 23 with my parents. It's definitely a good place for a family.

Spring Break '05

Hey Guys,

Myself and some friends are coming down to MB March 9th through the 13th, and we're staying at the Breakers Resort. We're all 24/25, where are the hot spots as far as clubs go? And did we make a wise choice by staying at the Breakers?

Any help would be greatly appreciated (because we're from NY and it's a 14 hour trip down there, haha!)

re:

We stayed at the Breakers a long time ago, maybe even 15 years ago. Then, it sucked. We hated it. Dirty, rude people, etc., etc. BUT, I did hear from someone else who stayed there more recently that it was a lot better. Post back after your trip and let us know how it was.
I'm no help on the club scene down there. Good luck.

Breakers is really nice now. I think that was a good choice. The company that runs that property does a really good job. You are also close to most of the party scene. For your age group, I would say you have 3 major options. Freaky Tiki on the boulevard. Club Kryptonite next to Broadway at the Beach. Celebrity Square at Broadway at the Beach (No cover to get into this area. You might have to pay to get into whatever club you decide on). Please let me know if you have any more questions. I might be too much of an expert in this area.

During Spring Break, they should all be pretty good everynight. Just depends on if one is doing a special promotion.

Great Beach Bar

Try Ocean Annies located in the Sand Dunes hotel on Shore Drive for some afternoon fun. I got a condo across the street (no promo) and you can listen to the tunes all day long.

Cheap burgers at the Riverside cafe in the hotel. One downside, not much else down there besides a ton of condos. But for me, with Ocean Annies you don't need another one.

I like Ocean Annie's as well. That is usually where I play volleyball on the weekends and go girl watching.

I'm interested in girl watching. Why don't all the girls on the board just tell me where they're going to be so my friends and I don't have to waste any time looking for them.

HA! Wouldn't be nice if it was that easy!? During spring break you need to go somewhere near Pier 14. If you are staying at the Breakers, just walk out your hotel onto the beach. You will be fine. There will be plenty to look at. I'm sure I will be there. I will probably be playing volleyball by the pier.
