Ocean Blvd.
Is there much of a difference staying at a hotel located on North Ocean Blvd vs. South Ocean Blvd.

Well, jaydee, the beach is beautiful on both ends of the Blvd. I, personally, prefer the North end because it is closer to 'the action' and my favorite restaurants. But, the South end is also nice. You can't go wrong either way.

Here's a similar question. Some of the golf courses I'm thinking about going to are not in Myrtle Beach. I am horrible at reading a map.
My wife and I both golf so of course my daughter hates it. Are there fun activities near Pawley's Island? Is that close to Myrtle? Thanks for answering a dumb question! Last edited by RMN; October-3rd,2001 at 11:52 AM. |

The definition of fun
Well, I guess it depends upon your definition of fun. I LOVE Pawley's Island, but if you're looking for neon lights and throngs of people, it will probably not be your cup of tea.
You could, however, fall in love with the laid-back "shabby elegance" of the place. Lots of yummy restaurants and scores of adorable shops. Great golf, wonderful fishing, fascinating historic spots to visit, wonderful art galleries... miles and miles of gorgeous beaches... wonderful fresh-water creeks, beautiful gardens... plenty of parks. Lovely. |

That is just our cup of tea. When Pat and I aren't golfing we find ourselves pulled more and more into a genteel sort of lifestyle. I guess it comes with age. Our daugher enjoys the beach. It will be later in the year when we visit so I hope its still warm enough for her to go to the beach. Thanks Toni.

Sounds pretty relaxing to me. Most importantly it sounds like the fishing is pretty good too.
