Wow, I just found this forum, I think it is great but we need LOTS more people on here!

My husband, 7 yr old son and I went to MB last week during the second week of June. We are thinking about going back this year, but I need some ideas for lodging. I prefer NOT to be downtown MB, we prefer less crowds. Last year we stayed in Murrels Inlet at Litchfield at their non-ocean front condos, it was a one bedroom with a mini kitchen. I was SO disappointed, the room was old and needed remodeling badly, I will not stay there again.

I am open to staying at the golf restorts, my husband likes to play and usually you can find nice places at a fraction of the cost of ocean front. Please tell me where is a good place to stay. Thanks!:)

The Cherry Grove Pier & Resort has always gotten good reviews from my friends. I haven't stayed there myself. Good luck, there are alot of great places in Myrtle Beach. You might try North Myrtle Beach its really taking off. The prices probably aren't as bad as Myrtle Beach itself.
