I was wondering if anyone can tell me how summers in New Orleans are? I might be coming to the area in June and want to know what it's like. I doubt it's as nice as springs in the Big Easy but is the city still enjoyable? Is it too hot and muggy? Are there still lots of good concerts?

Yes indeed...do visit New Orleans during the Summertime.
From Essence Fest on 4th of July weekend to discounted rooms at hotels...there are many reasons to come here during the summer.
Restaurant reservations are easy to come by, hotels are generally less expensive and there's lots to do all over town.
I've lived here my entire life, and I'll be honest...it's hot. But as long as you bring your shorts and comfortable clothes you'll find the environment to be laid back and inviting.
