Got a question. Who's playing halftime at the superbowl? Please tell me it isnt those up with people people. I don't think I could stomach it. Any word on crazy superbowl commercials? I didn't think they were all that great last year.

U2 is playing halftime at the Super Bowl CottonEyeJoe. The number 1 grossing concert act of 2001 ($109 million in ticket sales), U2 puts on one of the most spectacular arena concerts imaginable. I'm looking forward to seeing what they pull out for the Super Bowl!
The group Up with People has gone out of business. Don't know what prompted it, but they're gone. The only thing I've heard so far on Super Bowl commercials is that the Coen Brothers (Raising Arizona, Fargo, etc.) are doing one for H&R Block that uses the Beatles "Taxman." Should be worth a look... |

Paul McCartney is playing at the Super Bowl XXXVI... he will lead a tribute to the spirit of everyday heroes, the NFL announced.
He's going to be performing with 500 "young people" from around the world... from 180 countries to be exact. These are the countries that broadcast the Super Bowl... Odd: McCartney's singing with kids at the game, and one of his first band's early hits from almost 40 years ago will be featured in a commercial during the game (see above). Wonder if that'll make him feel old? |

I can't be in New ORleans this week and I want to be. Since I can't I just read all the news on the city I can find. Saw that the super bowl is going to be very secure. They say there will be a no fly zone over the superdome and even the commissioner is walking to the game! They're saying to come to the stadium hours early to go through the security points. Hope to hear how it's going over there!

Thanks for passing along good advice nolanut (love that nickname!)... security is going to be tight, but they say they're trying to make it as unobtrusive as possible.
We've got more advice for those attending the game, from the Superdome's management... http://www.tripsmarter.com/neworlean...rdome_tips.htm |
