Call me a trivia freak if you will, but I found this interesting: the cost of an ad during Super Bowl IV (the KC Chiefs beat the Vikings) was $78,200 to reach an estimated 44 million viewers.
This year, an ad costs $1,900,000 to reach an estimated 85 million viewers... but, the cost is down from the last two years, so if you're thinking of buying a little ad time, this year looks like a bargain! |

Super Bowl commercials are the best part of most games and they're exactly what I'm looking forward to seeing. Saw a post on here said that the only commercial so far is one with Taxman in it for HR Block. CNN today said that Pepsi's doing one with Brittney Spears that rehashes their old jingles. And Cadillac is using an old Led Zep song and an old caddy. Guess we're heading back to the future.

Well, wasn't "bowled" over by the commercials during the game. Obviously alot of money spent on the spots and yet only a couple were very good, I thought.
See for yourself at ifilm.com. They've got the superbowl spots up there. I haven't been able to see them yet though. Guess I'm not the only way looking! http://www.ifilm.com/superbowl/0,4806,,00.html |
