French QuarterFest?
Is the french quarter festival a good time? I've never been and would hate to miss out on another of NOLA's street bashes. It sounds like a locals kinda thing. Is that the deal?

I don't know if it's aimed at locals but it's a pretty good time. There's a lot of food vendors scattered around the Quarter and a lot of drinking going on. It's a good time.

The French Quarter Festival was originally a way to get locals back into the Quarter, but has become such a popular event that now there are plenty of non-natives who plan on attending the FQF every year.

Looks like CottonEyeJoe has another reason to go to NOLA! Only thing is there's no way I go for both French Quarter FEstival AND Jazz Fest. Jazz Fest has to be bigger and there's probably more music, but the food is probably better at the French Quarter Festival. Anybody been to both? Which would you pick?
