Idle question ; Is the abandoned Jax brewery still standing? what a beaut old structure: I was in New Orleans two years ago and it impressed me immensely. I would stop on the other side of Tulane Av. every night on the way to Nick's bar (another fine establishment) and gawp at it - It's (was ?) a most impressive building.

It still exits, and now houses a shopping center. It is an impressive sight, and one that catches the eye quite easily. Here's a picture of the old gal...
