Well, if you're into 'anything,' you're headed to the right place! New Orleans has it all!
I don't even know where to start... check out the nightlife section of tripsmarter.com http://www.tripsmarter.com/neworlean...life/index.htm |

That is a lot of info. Thanks for the help. I am so looking forward to Mardi Gras.
Plus, I am heading to Panama City Beach this 4th of July weekend, and that is going to be sweet, too!

Okay, 'Into anything' in New Orleans can mean....well ANYTHING. And N.O. has anything and everything......
Live Music: Hit the House of Blues, Maple Leaf Uptown, Preservation Hall for live Jazz and Blue Nile for 'anything'. Clubs: Go to the French Quarter and see places like Razzo/BBC/Tropical Isle/ Big Bad Wolf and again, House of Blues. Sightseeing: take a ride on the ultra inexpensive St. Charles Ave Streetcar. The best $1.50 you'll ever spend. Gentlemen's Clubs: Best ones are The Gold Club, Temptations and Ricks Cabaret. The gay area of the French Quarter is further down towards the end of Bourbon St. Theres several clubs there. Bourbon Pub and OZ to name a couple are popular, especially on Sunday afternoons for 'tea'. Once you get here you'll realize that there's something for just about everyone. From family stuff to freaky stuff......N.O.'s got it all. Have fun and have a safe trip! -Gene |

The Gold Club now that brings back some mammories, er, memories! Rick's isn't bad either but the Gold club rocks. The dancers are hot hot HOT. Oddly enough the food at the GC is great esp. the quac dip. Go figure.
If you like REALLY wild times go to the Midcity Bowl (I think its called). Bowling with live cool New Orleans music. Yeah... |

Mid City Rock & Bowl
Rock & Bowl.....ahhhh. Gotta love that place.
It's so...... real! And it's about 80% locals too. Both young and old. Perfect place for everyone and anyone. Thursday nights are ZYDECO music nights there. Indigenous music in an atmosphere that's unmatched. I've heard that some places around the country are opening up as bowling alleys with live music too. You can always imitate, but never duplicate....especially if it's out of N'awlins! Mid City Rock & Bowl was the 1st place to do the live music with bowling gig. John Blancher, the owner, has even trademarked the phrase "Rock-n-Bowl"! He won a lawsuit against TNN two years ago because they even began airing a program called "Rock and Bowl". The suit stopped them from using Rock-n-Bowl as the name for the TV show. I have to run......see ya! -Gene |
