Saints Games

The Saints season opener against the Green Bay Packers is this Sunday... although the game is officially sold out, look for tickets to be available from NFL and Packers allotments that weren't used.

Here's the Saints schedule for 2002.

The Saints remain undefeated. The beat the Packers Sunday in a high-scoring 35-20 victory to a sold-out crowd.

The next home game is against the Steelers on October 6, and tickets are going quick. If you want to see the game in person, you'd better get your seat soon!

Talking And what a game it was.......

The announced attendance in the Superdome was over 67,000 manic fans. About 10,000 were from Green Bay too! Since Brett Favre is from Kild, MS about 40mi North of N.O., he had his share of fans. But, it wasn't enough to pull the Packers through.

The dome was rocking! Ticket prices aren't that high either. My Season Ticket is only $35 per game. Good seats too!

More information is available at www.neworleanssaints.com.
Many are picking the Saints to be the new NFC South Champions!
You should try to "be in that number" if you can. It's an experience!

If you're planning on attending one of the Saint's home games - and you really should! - you'll need to book a hotel room, and quick!

Click here to book a hotel online. It's quick, easy, and you know you'll have a place to crash after the game, the post-game party, Bourbon Street...

The Saints are playing San Francisco at the Superdome this weekend... if you're going to be in town you need to get a ticket and hit the game!

There's nothing quite like a Saints home game. The Superdome gets wild!

Exclamation Saints Ticket Sales!

Although the Saints play the San Francisco 49ers this Sunday in the Superdome, with both teams records at a admirable 5-1, several thousand tickets remain for the game as of Wednesday afternoon 10/16.

You have to wonder if the N.O. Hornets NBA Team has cut into the 'qualified-buyer' pool for the Saints here in N.O.. Although we've tirelessly supported our beloved Saints for 36 years here, you can understand the owner of the Saints (Tom Benson) wondering what the future of the fracnshise here may be. Can N.O. support 2 professional sports teams?

Although I'm personally fortunate enough to possess Season Tickets for both team, I don't think that all that many New Orleanians can, or will, do such that. NBA tickets are quite expensive, as are some of the Saints tickets. But, there's simply NO EXCUSE not having this weekend's game sold-out by now!

I love the Saints and I'm excited about the chance of watching the NBA's return to N.O., but I'm somewhat discouraged by New Orleanians' apathy in supporting the Saints, by buying tickets!

Here's my theory....Many affluent New Orleanians, and there aren't THAT-THAT many, often get complimentary tickets to Saints games. Be it to attend the game in a Corporate Suite, or just being given a couple of tickets from business contacts. Nowadays, businesses have spent their sports-marketing money on purchasing Season Tickets to the Hornets and have bought fewer Saints tickets. As a result those who usually go to the Saints games "for free" are choosing to watch the games from home since they arent receiving as many free tickets. They, as I've heard say "I can't remember the last time I paid for a Saints ticket". What tha?
Well, if that's the attitude that those who can afford Saints tickets have, then those same people are going to be responsible for loosing the Saints to another city a few years from now.
Just like we lost the NBA N.O. Jazz to Utah back in 1979!

Those of you reading this on the Gulf Coast....Please consider making a trip to N.O. for a Saints game this season. They may not stick around all that much longer if tickets sales slump further......They, and we, need your support!
And also try to make it to one of the 41 Hornets home games this fall. It's going to be a good time. They're one of the NBA's best teams....
Right now N.O. can boast having 2 of Pro Sports' best franchises!!
It's a great time to visit N.O. to "catch a game"! NBA or NFL!!
