Hi Shes Deb, welcome to our forums! There's tons to do in New Orleans, everything from a world-class Aquarium to great musuems to gambling. Take a look at our attractions listings to get an idea of what's all out there.

Of course the French Quarter is New Orleans biggest attraction. It's non-stop fun, excitement and people-watching at its best! If you like antique shopping, then Royal Street in the Quarter, is the place to go.

As for the lounge shows, I believe they're in the Superdome. The seminars are at the Ernest N. Morial Center, which is a few blocks from both the Superdome and the Quarter. Just grab a short, cheap cab.

The numbers are in for Essence Festival, and they're as impressive as the festival! 223,000 visitors made their way to NOLA for the concerts and seminars... retailers, restaurants, and clubs all must be pretty pleased with such a large turnout during July, traditionally a slower month for the city (hint: now's a good time to go with cheaper hotel rates and specials throughout the Quarter!).
