webteam is on a distinguished road
Mardi Gras was AWESOME!

First time I've been here through the WHOLE thing! Every day was better than the last, and Mardi Gras day was just the CRAZIEST thing EVER.... I loved it...

And, I can't wait for Jazz Fest.

I took lots of pictures. Steve is going to post them, right, Steve?
Where do we go look at them?

In the meantime, I think this particular dancer sorta reflects the feeling of the day in the French Quarter - just carried away with himself/herself... whatever!

Mardi Gras Pics!

Yes... THANKS for the great Mardi Gras photos! I think my faves are the crazy drum cage and that wild VW Beetle!

Drum Cage

That drum cage was the WILDEST thing, and the cool things was that the guy INSIDE the cage was an awesome drummer... the sounds coming out of it were amazing, but the drums on the outside were open to whoever wanted to walk along and jam with him - he had sticks for folks, and there were some great drummers who couldn't resist ... sometimes they would stop and 4 or 5 drummers who didn't even know each other would be wanging and banging - sometimes cacophony - sometimes percussion perfection!

I never saw anything like it before; it was brilliant!
