Signing Event with Mardi Gras Artist Jamie Hayes

New Orleans, LA, Jan. 23, 2010

This weekend, January 23-24, from 10:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m., a signing event with the Mardi Gras artist Jamie Hayes will take place in the Jamie Hayes Gallery located at 617-621 Chartres Street, just half a block from Jackson Square. This will be the initial release of three limited edition Jamie Hayes Mardi Gras 2010 designs: ‘Fat Tuesday’, a whimsical sunshine; ‘Ash Wednesday’, a blue face moon; and ‘King of Mardi Gras’, a character from one of Jamie’s Children’s books, ‘Legendary Adventure of The Flying Mingling Brothers’. The original oil paintings of Fat and Ash took Jamie over 400 hours of tedious work each to complete, King of Mardi Gras took considerably more. Arrive early to guarantee a low numbered limited edition print ($17-$35). Giclee and serigraphs will be available as well, shop early as these finest quality editions sell out quickly each year.

The Jamie Hayes Gallery offers a unique selection of New Orleans style art including prints, children’s books, voodoo dolls and Fine Art. For those who are unable to visit in ‘The Big Easy’, please contact Kirt Smith at 504-592-4080 for purchase inquiries. The Jamie Hayes Gallery is located in historic French Quarter of New Orleans, LA at 617-621 Chartres Street.
