The Southern Food and Beverage Museum is a unique museum that explores the world of culinary history in the South. It is located in the Riverwalk Marketplace, right next to the Convention Center at the Julia Street Entrance. This is also the location of the Museum of the American Cocktail, which is a fascinating examination of the evolution of our favorite drinks and the cocktail culture. After a visit to these museums, you'll know a good deal more about the history and culture behind the food on your plate and the drink in your glass.

I've never been to The Southern Food and Beverage Museum, but as someone who loves southern cuisine and cocktail culture (especially in New Orleans!) I will definitely stop by next time I'm in the Big Easy.
