New Orleans in the Holiday Season
It's a GREAT time of year to visit New Orleans!
The hotels usually offer some "Pappa Noel" discount rates starting in mid November through Dec28th. Restaurants also have special Holiday menus and it's usually not all that hard to get a reservation. Secondly, New Orleans professional sports teams are doing great. The Saints (NFL) and Hornets (NBA) are both off to their best starts in franchise histories! And, believe it or not, you shouldn't have a problem finding tickets to either teams' games! Even though I live here year 'round.....I always think of the Holiday Season as the best time of year to visit. I find myself spending more time in the French Quarter and going out to eat more often this time of year......many locals feel this way. The weather is great too!
