Isadore
Everyone in New Orleans keeps an eye on storms out in the Gulf, after Camille, who wouldn't? Now, with Isadore making people nervous along the entire Gulf Coast, we thought it might be a good idea to refresh our memories on tropical storms and hurricanes.
So, take a look at our Hurricane Awareness video. It's at the bottom of that page. |

While Isadore has slowed considerably, given the amount of rain south Louisiana has had it's still a serious thread to the New Orleans area.
A Hurricane Watch is in effect along the Gulf Coast from Cameron, La to Pascagoula, Ms. Landfall is expected Wednesday night or early Thursday morning somewhere south-southwest of New Orleans. Our office in New Orleans tells us that the rain is what has most people concerned, since it's been going for days and doesn't look likely to let up any time soon. With NOLA sitting below sea level, flooding is always a concern... we wish the best to everyone in the city! |
