Free bus rides in PCB on Front Beach Rd.

Starting July 1st through Sept. 5th, the PCB Convention and Visitors Bureau are sponsoring free bus rides for tourists and locals.

The bus will run a loop on Front Beach Road from Walmart to the Vistor Information Center on Hwy 79.

Just wave at the bus and ride for free along Front Beach Road, 9am-9pm, 7 days a week.

Check out the link for more info.

Thanks for the update BnM!

We were just about to add a video where Francesca discusses this new bus ride with the Baytown director. We'll link to it when it's ready.

I'm glad to see PCB doing something about public transportation on the Beach. It's been non-existant for the most part.

If I flew into PC I would use Baytown trolley. I've actually looked into it but I always bring my dog which makes flying and commuting inconvenient. I definitely will if I leave the dog up here some time and fly down.

What would help public transportation down there would be if businesses allow people to be 10 minutes late or leave 10 minutes early to catch a trolley. If people have to stay 20 minutes late, they'll drive. I ride a bus and transfer to a train almost daily and my work doesn't mind altering peoples schedules a little. My job also pays for my monthly pass which up here is $70/month and it saves me about 40 miles round trip in gas, and wear and tear every day. Down there, 25/month for the Baytown trolley should be worth it for anyone driving more than 15 miles round trip. That and you start relaxing as soon as you get off work instead of waiting till you get home after dodging all the traffic.
