My four friends and I from Brooklyn, New York have decided long and hard on a spring break trip for a couple of days in March (13-16) and have decided on Panama City. In a place like New York, rumors run more wild then the cheap watered down beer of our thousands of bars here in New York City. It has been rumored here that PCB is the best place to be and even though we booked the flights and all already (NO REFUND!), I would appreciate some positive feedback from someone who has experienced PCB unlike us. Where are the best places to go? What hours? Prices of covers and drinks? Not that im not thrilled already from getting the (BLEEP) outta this frigid cold B.S. weather for a weekend, but I would greatly appreciate to hear how things fair down south on spring break. Also, If there are any group of single girls going away our weekend, please send me an email (Norsman79@aol.com) and maybe we can all hangout or something and be tourists together......LETS PARTY!!

AS a local at PCB, i have to say you have it right when you heard "rumors". Let me tell you, that the beer in not watered down, it's just the same as every place else. There will be parties all over PCB, and if you can't find one, they start one of your own, there are always pleanty of people ready and willing to party! Just come down, have fun, and forget the rumors!;)

How much are covers and drinks?

Let's see...I went to Daytona and PC beach last year to experience spring break. PC beach is supposed to be the wilder of the two cities, but I have to say that I had more fun in Daytona. Anyways...to answer your questions...

Cover is NOT cheap if you want to go to Club La Vela or Spinnaker (the two hottest clubs in PC beach). Cover can range from $20 to $30. In some cases, I've even heard of people paying $50 to get in. The key is to ask about the club specials when you first get to PC beach. Club La Vela has a special on certain nights where if you come before 7pm you get in for $5, get your hand stamped, and come back later.

There are also wristbands that you can buy that might save you some money on cover charges. Be careful though, because there are a lot of phonies selling wristbands. I'd be sure to call the club first to figure out which one's are legit. As far as drink prices...I don't drink...so I can't tell you about that. But I know a lot of clubs have drink specials before 10pm. And if you're in desparate need of alcohol...your neighbors will have it, and there are plenty of stores around.

PC beach is a lot of fun...or can be a lot of fun. It was a little chilly when I went, so I didn't get to "see" as much as I wanted to. But I'll be back there this year. If you have any more questions, just email me. got2b_real@hotmail.com
